Livewell Southwest is an independent social enterprise providing health and social care services for people across Plymouth, South Hams and West Devon, as well as some specialist services for people living in parts of Devon and Cornwall.
Our mission is to improve the physical and mental health of local communities by providing them with the very best care, when they need it, in the most appropriate setting – keeping people happy, healthy and supporting them to live as independently as possible.
As an employee-led organisation, and the largest community health and social care enterprise in the UK, Livewell Southwest employs more than 3,000 members of staff who live and work in the local area. Being a not-for-profit organisation allows us to reinvest all our revenue back into the care we provide for our communities.
Our award-winning services are diverse and include: physiotherapy; psychotherapy and other community mental health services; community nursing; social work; children and young people’s services; wellbeing and health improvement services; pharmacies and services for people with learning disabilities. These are delivered either in the person’s home, or from our 12 locations across the southwest, which include minor injuries and recovery units, community or acute hospitals, clinics and dental access centres.
